
That's right, someone in our area had their lights up, and turned on!!! A full week before Halloween!!! (Disclaimer - this is not the house in question, although it's basically the same idea. I didn't have my camera along, and it wouldn't have taken that great a shot anyway)
OK, now I get that some folks in our area put them up early on a nice day - stringing up lights in freezing weather is nobody's idea of a good time. But you don't turn them on yet! You just can't! It's just wrong! Besides, I'm not ready for Christmas!
But, considering we had our first snowfall here today, I suppose it's coming anyway, ready or not!

I agree!! For those of us who don't even begin to prepare until December that is quite frightening. What about celebrating Thanksgiving? I think that holiday is just plain skipped or it is just a pre-Christmas shopping holiday anymore.
