A Renaissance Man

This morning in the car, DD was talking about the book she had just read, Monday With a Mad Scientist, one of the Magic Tree House books. If you're not familiar with it, the protagonists of this series travel to a variety of places and times to solve mysteries and puzzles. Anyway, she was talking about a character named Leonardo, and based on the title, I made an educated guess. "I'll bet that Leonardo is actually Leonardo da Vinci, a famous painter and inventor." DD replied, "Yeah Mom, you're right!"

To which DS added, "Yeah, Leonardo da Vinci invented the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!"

I know he is famous for being ahead of his time, but I had no idea!

I realized the pictures I posted of our children the other day were not the best expressions, even though they were fitting for the topic. I took them out to a nearby park yesterday after church to get some shots for our Christmas card. To be honest, they can't take a bad picture!
