How Do You Get Your Husband to Wash Windows?

Buy him a cool new toy!

They were selling these little gadgets at the State Fair this year, and DH just had to have one. Today is a perfect day to try them out, and he is happily upstairs washing the windows. Which is great, because I don't want to!

The deal is, the two halves are held together on the inside and the outside of the window by a strong magnet. There are sponges on one side (the left in the pic) and squeegees on the other, so it washes and dries all at once. A little wiping with a chamois, and you're all done. It actually works pretty slick, and they're cleaner than I've ever managed with Windex!

The strings you see are to keep you from accidentally dropping the outside one a couple of stories, which would, of course, be a bad thing. The two halves don't come in the box already connected by the string - you have to do that after you open it. DH would be mad if I told you how I recommended that he attach them, and he poo-poohed the idea, but then connected them anyway. And how less then 5 minutes later, the outside one was dropped and saved by the string. And how I laughed uproariously. (To be fair, he did, too) So I won't tell you that story.

(and now I'll log out of the blog so he can't go in and edit this post ;-)

How cool! The outside of my windows never get done. To be honest, the inside rarely do either. By the way,I love the humor your and your husband have together!

Ours weren't done that often either, but now he wants to do them once a month!

We are blessed that we are able to laugh with (and periodically at) each other ;-) But I had to sneak to take these pictures!
