First, our DD turned 12, so we are one more step closer to having our very own teenager in the house. Her favorite gift was the Webkinz (yes, we decided to take the plunge!)
Then, DS had a chance to go to his first Cross Country meet. He loves to run, and was really excited that their new school has a cross country team and a track team.
Well, they ran a mile, and he made it in 6 min 52 sec, winning first place. He was, of course, thrilled, as were we.

Of course, this proves that he didn't come from my gene pool! :-)
Oh, and item #3 to celebrate? It's a long weekend, so no homework for me for 4 days! yay!
(I guess item #4 to celebrate is the fact that I figured out how to put pictures on here!)
