Cozy at Home

Well, school was called for the day, due to cold. I found that out last night at 9:30, while on my way home from a business dinner. Called my boss, let him know I'd be working from home today, and he was fine with that. I have to miss the boring meeting this morning, and the fun of driving out in the -22 weather, though. Darn.

It's odd - our school didn't close yesterday, but half the state did (or had late start). Today, the schools that didn't close yesterday, did. And the ones which were closed yesterday are open or late start today. Can't figure that out, since we all live in the same state and suffer the same cold (some more than others), but I'll enjoy my nice warm home office today.

This works out well, too, because my in-laws are arriving this evening and I really haven't had time to prepare due to business meetings all week. This gives me a chance to multitask, and put the kids to work. After all, they can clean bathrooms on a Friday just as easily as on a Saturday. They are doing well - playing quietly on the computer, crocheting, reading... Hopefully this will continue and we'll have a nice quite day. And I'll get more done here than I probably would in the office anyway!
